On May 16th 2023 I posted a listing asking if anyone wanted to surrender their address for a surprise 

27 responses were received. Many of the participants were friends but a handful were people I had never met or spoken to.

Round 1:

1. All names and addresses logged

2. A collage is created from old issues of Vogue Italia in studio 

3. This is photocopied and pasted onto Hollywood postcards 

4. Postcards are sent out to all 27 participants to confirm that their submission had been received 

Round 2: 

The group of participants is narrowed down to those within a thirty mile radius of my location. 

Names are written on a slip of paper and placed into a hat.

The first routine will begin on the morning of Monday September 18th 2023.  

Routines take place every Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 11am and 2pm.

1. Change into uniform

2. Stretch and warm up

3. Name is chosen from hat

4. Routine is practiced three times at home

5. A playlist is created for the journey, this is dictated by the duration of the drive and perception of what the participant might enjoy

6. The playlist is heard during the drive over to the participants address*

7. The routine is filmed on a tripod placed, on the doorstep of the recipient, facing out onto the street

8. The routine takes place to Bennington by John Maus

9. If the performance goes by unseen by the recipient, a card is posted on their door notifying them of the occurrence

6. Any other notes or interactions

* Practices cannot be combined with others. Each recipient will have a day and drive from my home to theirs, devoted to them. Errands are not allowed en route to practice. 

Uniform Regulations 

• Cobalt blue cheerleader skirt

• Red, White and Blue pom poms

• Plain black tank top (must have spaghetti straps)

• Legwarmers, white or cream

• Trainers, white or cream

• Plain black sweatshirts and sunglasses (weather permitting)
